Michelle L. Cortes is a seasoned advertising sales and business development executive with over 20 years of experience. A native New Yorker, she graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Ms. Cortes fulfilled a successful career in media working with major Publishing companies such as Time Inc., AMI and Latina Ventures. She reached the highest levels of leadership including Publisher of a national Hispanic magazine, and developed long-lasting and revenue generating relationships with the most prominent advertising agencies in the U.S. Among the many blue chip advertisers that Michelle has collaborated with are Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Neutrogena, Maybelline and Cover Girl, becoming a top seller in the Beauty category, a recognition received by peers and employers alike. The national scope of Michelle’s business development responsibilities also included A-list accounts in automotive, package goods, food, liquor and health brands.
Michelle’s expertise encompasses in-depth knowledge in strategic planning, forecasting, branding and account services. She has a keen understanding of how to manage market and demographic shifts, as well as the application of innovative marketing and media platforms to existing operational processes. Having navigated major transformations in the corporate and media landscapes of New York City during the last two decades, Michelle has the skill to foresee new trends way before the materialize. She also orchestrated celebrity and brand partnerships.
