Samí Haiman-Marrero CEO of URBANDER, a solution-driven communications agency that specializes in multilingual, multimedia strategies to help businesses and organizations connect meaningfully with the U.S. and Latin American markets. With three decades of experience in marketing, publishing, and public relations, Samí leads a team of fractional consultants (including herself) that develop and deliver strategic campaigns, content, and engagement programs that build trust and deliver measurable results.
Under her leadership, URBANDER works alongside Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, Procurement, and Community Relations teams to provide tailored solutions in brand strategy, content development, workforce engagement, and outreach. Their storytelling-first approach blends cultural insight with business intelligence to strengthen brand positioning and customer loyalty.
Samí holds a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Puerto Rico and is widely regarded as a leading authority in Hispanic market engagement. She served as Publisher of a national Spanish-language magazine and has been featured in major media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, El Nuevo Día (Puerto Rico), HuffPost, USA Today’s Hispanic Living Magazine, MSNBC, Florida Trend Magazine, NBCNews.com, and CBC News Canada, offering expert insights on marketing strategy, Spanish-language media, and audience growth.

Samí was named one of the “25 Most Influential Hispanics in Central Florida” by VISION Magazine, and has served on the boards of Visit Orlando, United Arts, the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, and presided the Hispanic American Professional and Business Women’s Association (HAPBWA) from 2015 – 2017.
Her work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including:
- “From Invisible to Invincible”, an essay chronicling her entrepreneurial journey was featured in the bestselling anthology Hispanic Stars: The New Face of Power (2020).

She lives in Florida with her husband Scott, their two teenagers, Pedro and Catalina, and their beloved dog, Oreo.
